B.S. Chemistry

My name is Shasline Gedeon, and I am a recent PhD graduate in Pharmaceutical Sciences - Medicinal Chemistry from Florida A&M University. I received a BS in Chemistry at the University of South Florida. I also obtained an MS in Pharmaceutical Sciences. My research is focused on the design, synthesis, and evaluation of Tetrahydropyridine derivatives as anti-breast cancer agents under Dr. Tiffany W. Ardley. My interest lies in medicinal research, more specifically, the study and development of new drugs. I desire to continue pursuing research in drug design and discovery for the development of better cancer treatment options, especially for minority populations and those who fall victim to this health disparity.
