職務要約

Dr. Sonika Chibh is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the Langer Group under Prof. Robert Langer, supported by the Fulbright Nehru Fellowship. She holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Biology from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Mohali, India, and has held a postdoctoral fellowship at Tel Aviv University, Israel. Her interdisciplinary research spans biologics discovery, immune-engineered delivery systems, and translational therapeutic development. She specializes in mRNA–lipid nanoparticle (LNP) platforms, virus-like particle (VLP) vaccine design, peptide-based therapeutics, and monoclonal antibody development. Her work integrates advanced biomaterials, self-assembled nanostructures, and rational molecular design with computational and experimental approaches to enable next-generation drug delivery systems. During her PhD and subsequent research positions, she developed stimuli-responsive peptide nanostructures for cancer drug delivery, engineered self-assembling biomaterials, and designed microfluidic and nanoparticle-based platforms for controlled therapeutic delivery. At Tel Aviv University, she worked on peptide and nanomaterial-based drug delivery systems and monoclonal antibody development for phenylketonuria (PKU) in collaboration with industry. At MIT, her current work focuses on translational vaccine technologies, including VLP–vaccine co-formulation, microneedle-based delivery systems, AI-guided excipient screening, and RNA delivery platforms. She also develops peptide-based enzyme inhibitor systems for oncology and women’s health applications, integrating biochemical assays, molecular biology, and computational modeling. She has authored 15+ peer-reviewed publications in leading journals such as Science Advances, Angewandte Chemie and ACS and RSC journals, and is actively engaged in bridging academic innovation with pharmaceutical translation in biologics, vaccines, and RNA therapeutics.
