This straw-based insulated packaging matches EPS performance while being disposable in organic/garden waste and requiring only 2% of the primary energy needed to produce polystyrene, with that energy fully covered by renewable sources. Seen as a game-changer for shipping refrigerated life science or pharmaceutical products, it turns straw, an agricultural by-product, into a functionally superior, fully compostable replacement for polystyrene. Manufactured near Munich, Germany, and in the United States, using entirely locally sourced raw materials.
