Bharath University

Indian deemed university in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, founded by the Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research and given deemed university status in 2003, with campuses at Selaiyur and Chrompet. Teaches medicine, dentistry, nursing, physiotherapy, pharmacy, biotechnology and engineering including biomedical engineering, runs its own teaching hospitals and dental college, and carries out research in biomedical instrumentation, biotechnology, nanotechnology and pharmaceutical sciences with its own laboratories.
