American specialty pharmaceutical company at Raleigh in North Carolina, founded in 1997 and listed on Nasdaq until Collegium Pharmaceutical bought it for about six hundred and four million dollars in a deal completed in March 2022. Developed and sold medicines using its BioErodible MucoAdhesive film technology, notably Belbuca, a buprenorphine buccal film for chronic pain, together with Symproic for opioid induced constipation and Elyxyb, a celecoxib oral solution for migraine.
