French engineering school at Villeurbanne on the Lyon-Tech La Doua campus, created in 1994 from the merger of the Lyon school of industrial chemistry and the school of electricity and electronics, with roots going back to 1883. Trains engineers in chemistry and chemical engineering, digital sciences and electronics, runs a chemistry track oriented to fine chemicals and the pharmaceutical industry, and carries out research in catalysis, polymer and organic chemistry through joint laboratories with the national research bodies.
