Indian public teaching hospital and medical college at Parel in Mumbai, Maharashtra, run by the municipal corporation, comprising the King Edward Memorial Hospital opened in 1926 and Seth Gordhandas Sunderdas Medical College. Provides tertiary care across internal medicine, surgery, cardiology, neurosurgery, oncology, obstetrics and paediatrics with a large emergency department, teaches undergraduate and postgraduate medicine, runs a hospital pharmacy and clinical laboratories and hosts clinical research and trials including a well known diabetes and epidemiology research programme.
