American non profit research institute in Seattle, founded in 1993 to develop vaccines, diagnostics and treatments for diseases of poorer countries. Works on tuberculosis, leishmaniasis, leprosy and other neglected diseases, is best known for its vaccine adjuvants, which it supplies to public and commercial vaccine developers, runs its own formulation and manufacturing facility for clinical supplies and carries out early clinical trials with international partners.
