Instituto Politécnico de Castelo Branco

Portuguese public higher education institution at Castelo Branco in the interior of the country, founded in 1980 as a polytechnic institute and since reconstituted as a polytechnic university, with schools spread across Castelo Branco and Idanha-a-Nova. Teaches through its health school Dr. Lopes Dias with nursing, pharmacy technology, dietetics, physiotherapy, radiology and clinical analysis programmes, and through its schools of agriculture, technology, management, applied arts and education, and runs its own teaching and research laboratories in health, food and agricultural sciences.
