Ethiopian public university in Jimma in the Oromia region, formed in 1999 from the merger of the Jimma College of Agriculture and the Jimma Institute of Health Sciences and known for its community based education. Runs institutes of health, technology, agriculture and veterinary medicine and colleges of natural sciences, business and social sciences, and its School of Pharmacy within the Institute of Health teaches pharmacy degrees and runs research on medicines use, pharmaceutical care and medicinal plants alongside the Jimma Medical Center.
