Konkuk University

South Korean private university in Gwangjin, Seoul, founded in 1931 as a medical school by the physician Yoo Seok-chang and given university status in 1959, with a second campus at Chungju. Teaches medicine with the Konkuk University Medical Center, veterinary medicine, pharmacy at its Glocal campus, biological sciences and biotechnology, food science and engineering, and carries out research in drug development, veterinary and animal science, food biotechnology and biomedical engineering with its own hospitals and laboratories.
