Italian public university in Ancona in the Marche region, founded in 1969 and reorganised as a polytechnic university in 2003. Teaches through faculties of medicine and surgery with the Ospedali Riuniti university hospital, science with biology and biomedical laboratory sciences, engineering including biomedical and chemical engineering, agriculture and economics, and carries out research in molecular and clinical medicine, marine and food biotechnology, natural products and biomaterials with its own laboratories.
