Taiwanese public university formed in 2021 by the merger of National Yang-Ming University in Taipei, founded in 1975 as a medical school, with National Chiao Tung University in Hsinchu. Teaches medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, biomedical sciences and biomedical engineering alongside electrical engineering and computer science, works with the Taipei Veterans General Hospital and its own hospitals, and carries out research in genomics and brain science, drug discovery, biomedical imaging and medical devices.
