Ethiopian public tertiary hospital in Nekemte in the East Wollega zone of Oromia, founded in 1939 by Swedish missionaries and now a comprehensive specialised hospital with about three hundred beds. Provides internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, psychiatry and emergency care with intensive care, runs its own clinical laboratory, imaging and pharmacy services including antiretroviral treatment, and serves as a referral hospital and teaching site for the surrounding zones.
