Jordanian public hospital at Tabarbour in Amman, opened in 2006 and run by the Ministry of Health as a district general hospital of about four hundred and thirty beds, recognised by the Jordanian Medical Council as a teaching hospital in 2010. Provides cardiac surgery and catheterisation, diagnostic and therapeutic vascular procedures, kidney transplantation, general medicine and surgery, maternity and emergency care, and runs its own laboratories, imaging services and pharmacy, buying medicines and equipment through its own tenders under a decentralised system.
