British university at Musselburgh on the eastern edge of Edinburgh, founded in 1875 as a school of cookery and given university status in 2007. Teaches through its School of Health Sciences with dietetics and nutrition, nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, podiatry, radiography and speech and hearing sciences, and its School of Business, Arts and Creative Industries, and carries out research in nutrition and food science, global health and person centred practice with its own teaching clinics and laboratories.
