Italian public university in the Ostiense district of Rome, founded in 1992 as the third state university of the city. Teaches chemistry, biology, environmental science, engineering, economics, law and the humanities, runs the department of science with laboratories in organic, analytical and physical chemistry and in cell biology, and carries out research on biomolecules, materials and environmental analysis with Italian institutions and industry.
