Biomedical research institute of Texas A&M University in the Texas Medical Center at Houston, opened in 1990 as the research arm of the university's health science center. Runs centres for translational cancer research, epigenetics and disease prevention, infectious and inflammatory disease and genomic and precision medicine, keeps core facilities for imaging, genomics and drug discovery screening, and trains graduate and postdoctoral researchers.
