Spanish public university in the Madrid region, founded in 1996 with campuses at Móstoles, Alcorcón, Fuenlabrada, Vicálvaro and Aranjuez. Its Faculty of Health Sciences at Alcorcón teaches pharmacy, medicine, nursing, physiotherapy and biomedical sciences, with departments of basic health sciences and pharmacology covering pharmacology, pharmaceutical technology and clinical pharmacy, and the university runs research in pharmacology, medicinal chemistry, biomaterials and health services with the Fundación Hospital Alcorcón and other Madrid hospitals.
