University of Gondar

Ethiopian public university in Gondar in the Amhara region, whose origins go back to the Public Health College founded in 1954, the oldest medical training institution in the country, and which became a full university in 2003. Runs colleges of medicine and health sciences, natural and computational sciences, veterinary medicine, agriculture, business and the humanities with its own teaching hospital, and its School of Pharmacy trains pharmacists and runs research on medicines use and medicinal plants.
