Wright-Patterson Air Force Base

United States Air Force installation near Dayton in Ohio, formed in 1948 from the Wright and Patterson fields and one of the largest and most varied air force bases. Houses the Air Force Research Laboratory and its 711th Human Performance Wing, the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, the Air Force Institute of Technology and the Naval Medical Research Unit Dayton, whose laboratories carry out toxicology and health effects research on fuels, propellants, chemical exposures and aerospace medicine along with occupational and environmental health assessment.
