KPA President Warns Against Expanding Prescription Delivery for All Telemedicine Patients

The government is promoting a plan to expand delivery of prescription medicines to all patients receiving telemedicine services. The Korean Pharmacists Association (KPA) has voiced growing concerns. KPA President Kwon Young‑hee addressed members directly, stating the association’s emergency response committee and executive will devote full effort to block the expansion. Under current medical law, home receipt of medicines is limited to five categories. Extending delivery to all telemedicine patients would require amendment of the law and parliamentary discussion, and Kwon emphasized that no decision has been finalized. On the 4th, Kwon issued an appeal regarding the proposed expansion.
