I am a PhD student in Pharmaceutical and Biomolecular Sciences at the University of Turin, specializing in the design and development of cyclodextrin-based nanosponges for targeted drug and gene delivery. My research focuses on the synthesis and functionalization of cationic and PEGylated β-cyclodextrin nanosponges to improve nanoparticle stability, biocompatibility, and delivery efficiency across biological barriers. I have expertise in nanoparticle synthesis and comprehensive physicochemical characterization using techniques such as DLS, NTA, FTIR, NMR, and HPLC. My experience in biological evaluation includes in vitro cell culture, MTT assays, flow cytometry, and gel electrophoresis. My research interests are in non-viral gene delivery, supramolecular chemistry, CNS-targeted nanomedicine, and the development of stimuli-responsive drug delivery systems. My long-term goal is to contribute to the development of safe, effective, and clinically translatable nanocarriers for the treatment of neurodegenerative, genetic, and other complex diseases.
