Hello, I’m Md. Shohag Hossain, a Master’s (M1) student in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Rajshahi. I am passionate about scientific research, innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration. My research interests focus on polymer science, medicinal chemistry, and computational chemistry, particularly in the design and development of advanced functional materials and drug delivery systems. I am especially interested in the synthesis of well-defined functional polymers, block copolymers, and polymer nanocomposites, as well as the modification of natural polymers such as silk for biomedical and advanced material applications. In addition, I explore computational and quantum chemical approaches to understand molecular interactions, reaction mechanisms, and the design of molecules for drug delivery, medicinal applications, and sustainable energy systems. Currently, I am involved in the HEAT Project (W-3b, PIN-16064), where I actively participate in research and collaborative scientific activities. I am enthusiastic about building research collaborations and contributing to innovative scientific solutions in materials science, drug delivery, and sustainable chemistry.
