I am an accomplished pharmacist and public health professional with over six years of experience in clinical pharmacy, public health, healthcare service delivery, and pharmaceutical research. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from Usman Danfodiyo University Sokoto and am currently pursuing two postgraduate degrees: a Master of Public Health with a focus on epidemiology and an MSc in Clinical Pharmacy. My research includes treatment outcomes in pediatric HIV, asthma care, antimicrobial stewardship, and the application of artificial intelligence in African healthcare. As a dedicated educator, I serve as a clinical pharmacist preceptor, guiding undergraduate and final-year pharmacy students during their industrial training and clinical clerkships. My clinical expertise involves managing antiretroviral therapy (ART) alongside TB programs and overseeing supply chain logistics for infectious disease treatments. My research aims to enhance healthcare practices, particularly in low-resource settings. One of my current dissertations evaluates the impact of pharmacist-led antimicrobial stewardship interventions on prescribing practices among physicians. Additionally, my contributions to healthcare are supported by my active involvement in major international research projects, such as the REVIVE trial on HIV treatment and the Sarman 11 project, which addresses antimicrobial resistance in children. My commitment to advancing healthcare in Africa is evident in my role as the lead researcher for a scoping review on the prospects of clinical translational medicine on the continent.
