Manufactured directly by Chem-Stone (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd., this amantadine (CAS 768-94-5, molecular formula C10H17N, molecular weight 151.25) is a 1-adamantanamine compound with a melting point of 206-208 degC, a boiling point of about 225.7 degC at 760 mmHg, a flash point of 96 degC, and a density of 1.066 g/cm3; its acute oral toxicity in mice is reported at an LD50 of roughly 700 mg/kg. It is sold into markets across North America, Europe, Australasia, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
