This Chymotrypsin, marketed as Linzyme ultrapure Chymotrypsin, is extracted from bovine pancreas and further purified by affinity chromatography by Ningbo Linzyme Biosciences. An EC 3.4.21.1 proteolytic enzyme with an optimum pH of 8.0, it preferentially hydrolyzes peptide bonds involving tyrosine, phenylalanine and tryptophan, and is supplied as a white lyophilized powder with activity of at least 5.0 microkatals/mg, complying with USP and EP specifications. It requires cold storage (2-8 C) protected from light and is sold across Western Europe, Eastern Europe and Asia; the supplier does not manufacture it directly.
