The Greenaldolase enzyme assay kit comprises 30 engineered aldolase enzymes that surpass 90% activity against their target substrates, providing a solid platform for further engineering toward greater activity, organic-solvent and acetaldehyde tolerance, wider pH range, and thermostability. Several pilot-tested variants already exceed 90% activity with 99% enantiomeric excess at substrate concentrations of 30-50 g/L, temperatures above 55°C, pH above 8.0, and acetaldehyde tolerance of 50-60 g/L.
