M.Pharm Thesis Researcher

Ajmain Ishaat Khan is an M.Pharm student in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacology at the University of Dhaka. He completed his B.Pharm (Professional) as the valedictorian of the 55th batch from the Department of Pharmacy at the University of Dhaka, where he graduated with a CGPA of 3.99/4.00. His research interests lie in molecular pharmacology and pharmacogenomics, with an emphasis on precision medicine and understanding interindividual variability in disease susceptibility and therapeutic responses. He is currently working as a Research Assistant in the Department of Pharmacology, Bangladesh Medical University, where he is developing practical expertise in establishing therapeutic drug monitoring services using LC-MS. During his undergraduate dissertation and current M.Pharm thesis research, he has been involved in the Clinical Pharmacology Laboratory, where he developed hands-on expertise in molecular biology and genotyping techniques by studying genetic polymorphisms associated with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and urinary bladder cancer during his undergraduate and postgraduate research, respectively. His journey in the life sciences began during high school and has since been shaped by diverse academic and leadership roles across multiple biological sciences organizations, reflecting a strong commitment to science education, research collaboration, and public engagement. Known for his attention to detail, strong sense of responsibility, and consistent delivery of high-quality work, Ajmain continues refining his technical, analytical, and research capabilities. Driven by curiosity and a commitment to evidence-based inquiry, he aspires to contribute meaningfully to molecular pharmacology, pharmacogenomics, and the advancement of precision medicine through translational and genomic research.
