Creating and exploring ways to connect nature, neuroscience, and the arts of the Soul in effective, eco-friendlier, and new evidence-based ways. Education Details: Currently pursuing a Master of Medical Science (Health) in University of Malaya (UM), with a research project focusing on cognitive neuroscience that measures cognitive performance using PsychoPy and neural activity using electroencephalography (EEG) systems. Bachelor of Engineering (Biomedical) graduate from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), humbly recognised for my creative leadership, creativity, and problem-solving in mental health technology. Passionate about therapeutic tools and open source software to integrate multiple solutions for relaxation and/or other specified healing purposes, such as, but not limited to, Blender, Krita and VVVV. Used non-invasive methods to collect our brain signals, as known as electroencephalography (EEG) in research projects, including hardware handling and the use of specific GUIs such as OpenBCI GUI. Designed and developed 3D assets as immersive stimuli in extended-reality (XR: AR/VR/MR) assets and/or environments combining multiple skills. Experience: Before my graduation from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, I had already ignited my entrepreneurial spirit by actively participating in competitions, exhibitions, hackathons, fests, showcases, and relevant activities. In my thesis, we merged the realms of technology and love to make mental health more effective, accessible, and affordable. Mental health metaverse spaces and other biomedical engineering tools that were helpful were tested and some left for the public while some left for our juniors to understand the projects so that they could build on top of the foundation in their journeys. As I take a moment to share a glimpse into my journey, my heart is filled with gratitude and a deep sense of purpose. Beyond the titles and qualifications, I am a creator, an artist, a reader, a writer, a yogi, an author, a speaker and an explorer. Significant Milestones: One of my significant milestones, I led ReleaStress4, the Rehabilitation device for autistic children, a Three-in-One Deep Pressure, Auditory, and Light Sensory Stimulation Kit for Autistic Children with Hypo-sensitivity. I was mainly in charge of designing and printing the 3D casing parts as well as the project ideation. This project earned me recognition as a double award recipient in the Exhibition for Biomedical Systems Design Year 2023, being the Champion and Public's Favourite accolades. The end goal is its generalisation for all who would be in need of it. Mental health technology's integration with the Metaverse and a decentralised autonomous organisation (DAO) also involved the distribution of Soulbound NFTs, sponsored by Mintkudos XYZ, to project contributors including project volunteers before they sunsetted. While these have been discontinued in the old ways, the experience encouraged me to think about the differences in maintaining and connecting communities with public updates and resource collection. Notably, Mental Bot as the Winner in the Good Health Category at SEMS 4.0 (Sustainable Entrepreneurial Mindset Showcase) was a prototype using Arduino UNO. It's a robotic companion that can respond to individuals based on their emotions, fostering well-being. In a Panel Talk during Curriculum Day at UTM, I discussed about 'Life-Ready Graduate'. I emphasised the importance of soft skills, such as but not limited to expressing, leading, resource management, and more, in shaping future leaders. Lastly, during my first time leading a biomedical project, the team created a robotic solution for autistic children named 'Dr. Strange'. As the Best of the Best Team in the Exhibition of SmartHealthcare 4.0 Multidisciplinary, it showed how everything could be more convenient for ASD therapies with our problem-solving approach, creativity, teamwork and more. I look forward to continuing this journey with all of you as we strive to create a world where healthcare, including mental health, is a right, not a privilege. I mean it for real.
