Dr. Santosh Kumar Dash is a Professor of Pharmaceutics and Head of the Department (B.Pharm) in The Pharmaceurical College, Barpali, with over a decade of academic and research experience. Born on 28th May 1980 in Bargarh, Odisha, he completed his B.Pharm, M.Pharm, and Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics from Biju Patnaik University of Technology. His doctoral research focused on the development of chronotherapeutic pulsatile drug delivery systems using natural gums. Dr. Dash has authored more than 25 national and international research publications, holds one patent, and is the main author of the book Novel Drug Delivery System. His research interests include chronotherapeutic drug delivery, natural polymer-based formulations, and sustained release systems. He successfully completed the ARPIT Refresher Course conducted by Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi, securing Grade A in the examination conducted by the National Testing Agency. A dedicated mentor, he has guided more than 110 B.Pharm and M.Pharm students. Beyond academics, he actively participates in community service, including voluntary blood donation (26+ times) and leadership in local cultural initiatives.
