Giorgia Prosperi obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering in 2019 from the Politecnico di Torino, Italy. She subsequently completed her Master’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering, with a specialization in Biomechanics, in 2021 at the same institution. During the second year of her Master’s program, she participated in an exchange program and completed her Master’s thesis at Mondragon Unibertsitatea, Spain, in the Department of Composite Materials and Additive Manufacturing. Currently, she is pursuing her PhD at Tecnun - University of Navarra, within the Tissue Engineering research group. Her doctoral research focuses on the mechanical characterization of scaffolds through in silico simulations and mechanical testing, under the thesis titled: "Study of the Impact of the Geometrical Definition of Polymeric Scaffolds on Their Mechanical Characteristics for the Modulation of Cell Behavior: Multiscale Analysis (Macro and Micro) and Experimental Validation." Her initial work at Tecnun involved studying bacterial adhesion to substrates through computational modeling, with a project titled "Computer Modelling of Bacterial Adhesion Based on the Fluid-Bacteria-Substrate Interaction." Additionally, she has served as an assistant lecturer in the courses 'Biomaterials and Biocompatibility' and 'Design of Biomedical Prototypes' during her doctoral studies.
