Janarthanan S is a postgraduate student pursuing Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) in Pharmacology at Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute. His academic training focuses on experimental pharmacology, toxicology, and drug discovery, with a strong emphasis on translational research. His primary research interests include neuropharmacology, particularly the evaluation of neuroprotective agents against chemically induced neurotoxicity using preclinical models such as zebrafish. He is especially interested in studying the therapeutic potential of natural compounds, including polyphenols like ellagic acid, in mitigating oxidative stress, neuroinflammation, and neuronal damage. He is also actively engaged in pharmacovigilance and adverse drug reaction (ADR) monitoring, with an interest in improving drug safety and clinical outcomes. His broader interests extend to novel drug delivery systems, experimental design in pharmacological research, and the integration of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence in drug discovery.
