Adjunct Professor

João José Morais Joaquim is currently Adjunct Professor at Polytechnic University of Coimbra - Health School and holds a PhD in Pharmacy and Health from the University of Salamanca [2023], a Master's in Toxicology from the University of Aveiro [2007], and a BSc (Hons) from Polytechnic University of Coimbra - Health School [2000]. Has a Clinical Investigator Certification – Level 1 and 2, from Nova Medical School and UNAVE - University of Aveiro [2022] and a Global Pharmacovigilance Professional Certification from the International Society of Pharmacovigilance (ISoP) and the Institute of Pharmacovigilance (IPV). Holds different post-graduation Certificates, namely International Meyler Course in Pharmacovigilance [2013] from Rijksuniversiteit Groningen/LAREB, the International Meyler Course in Pharmacovigilance [2015] from LAREB, Safety Assessment in Drug Discovery and Development [2016] from Karolinska Institutet Department of Medicine and Medication Errors [2016] from the International School of Pharmacology. Works in the areas of Medical and Health Sciences with emphasis on Drug Safety, namely Drug Toxicology, Pharmacovigilance, Adverse Drug Reactions, Medication Errors and Drug-Food Interactions.
