As an aspiring physician-scientist, I strive to push the frontier of medical innovations with translational research by integrating my engineering skills with my clinical knowledge to impact lives both in and out of the clinic. From UC Irvine, I received a Bachelor's in Biomedical Engineering: Premedical and a Master's in Biomedical Engineering, during which I joined and led various research projects to improve medical training, our understanding of neurodegenerative disorders, and a number of medical devices. Through my research projects, I was awarded 7 research fellowships, led two of my research teams to 2nd and 3rd place in the National Biomedical Engineering Society Medtronic Student Design Competition, and received the UCI Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Research, the UCI BioENGINE Best Design Industry Award, and the UCI Master of Engineering Executive Committee Award. In my career, I hope to significantly contribute to advancing the access to, equity in, and quality of patient care for all.
