I am an intellectually curious, dedicated, and enthusiastic freshman from San Antonio, Texas currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Texas-San Antonio. With a strong foundation in biology and a keen interest in technology, I chose this field to merge my passion for medical sciences, artificial intelligence, and innovative engineering solutions. Throughout high school at Reagan High School (San Antonio, Texas), I excelled in STEM subjects, participated in extracurricular activities with the National Honor Society/Mu Alpha Theta/Japanese clubs, and volunteered at independent living centers for aging seniors, where I developed an appreciation and understanding of the challenges and opportunities in healthcare.
Driven by a desire to make a tangible impact, I am particularly interested in the development of medical devices and technologies that can improve patient outcomes. I am eager to engage in undergraduate research projects and collaborate with peers and faculty to explore cutting-edge advancements in biomedical engineering both at UTSA and other educational institutions over the summers.
Outside of academics, I enjoy participating in extracurricular activities such as casual and competitive online gaming, club, health advocacy groups, and community service.
