I am a Senior Lecturer in Pharmacology attached to the Department of Clinical Sciences, Faculty of Health-Care Sciences, Eastern University, Sri Lanka. I graduated with an MBBS degree from the University of Colombo in 2010 and subsequently obtained an MPhil degree from the University of Peradeniya. Prior to joining academia, I served as a Medical Officer under the Ministry of Health. My teaching responsibilities include Pharmacology and Therapeutics for MBBS students and Pharmacology for Nursing undergraduates. My research interests focus on adverse drug reactions, rational prescribing, prescribing in the elderly, radionuclide therapy, and medication safety. I have also served in several academic and administrative capacities, including Secretary of the Faculty Research Committee, Coordinator of the Staff Development Centre, and Coordinator of the B.Pharm Programme. I am a registered medical practitioner with the Sri Lanka Medical Council and have contributed to research and scholarly publications in clinical pharmacology, medication safety, and medical education.
