EU EID PhD scientist

I graduated with a bachelor's in Pharmaceutical Technology at Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India in 2016. After that, I completed my master’s degree in Pharmaceutics focusing on the generation of dual drug nanocrystals loaded microparticles of BCS II and IV APIs under the guidance of Prof. Arvind Kumar Bansal at the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Mohali, India in 2018. Thereafter I have more than 2 years of Industrial research experience from Dr. Reddy’s Lab, Hyderabad, and Bristol Myers Squibb – Biocon R&D Centre, Bangalore, India. I have joined as an Early-stage Researcher 5 in the EU Industrial doctoral project of LongActNow (Marie Skłodowska Curie Actions) titled “Technology selection for bottom-up manufacturing of stable aqueous nano/microcrystal suspensions of Janssen APIs for long-acting injectables” in October 2020. Currently, I have started my project at Janssen Pharmaceuticals (Belgium). A significant part of my project will also take place in the SSPC (Science Foundation Ireland Research Centre for Pharmaceuticals) at the University of Limerick, Ireland, and Technische Universität Dortmund, Germany. I am supervised by Alain Collas (Janssen), Luis Padrela (University of Limerick), and Lidia Tajber (Trinity College Dublin). The goal of my project is to validate the toolboxes and technologies developed by the other ESR’s in LongActNow projects 1-4 and apply their findings and methodologies to optimally guide the selection of the most appropriate bottom-up technology and excipients to obtain suspensions with tailored properties for new Janssen APIs. Snehashis obtained his bachelors degree in Pharmacy from Jadavpur University, Kolkata in 2016. Being Pharmacist by education, he then completed his master’s degree in Pharmaceutics at NIPER, Mohali in 2018. He then work as formulation scientist at Dr. Reddy’s Lab, Hyderabad and Bristol Myers Squibb, Bangalore. Currently, He is an EU industrial doctoral researcher (Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions fellow), working as a scientist in Janssen Pharmaceutica (Belgium) and also in the SSPC (Science Foundation Ireland Research Centre for Pharmaceuticals) at the University of Limerick. The goal of his project is to develop an integrated bottom-up process as potential alternative for manufacturing long-acting injectable suspensions at the industrial scale and validate toolboxes for novel complex APIs.
