Asst. Prof. (Teacher Practitioner)

Theo is a registered practising pharmacist who divides his time between the School of Pharmacy in Trinity College Dublin and community pharmacy practice. Theo gained his B.A. in Natural Science (Chemistry) and Ph.D. (Organic Chemistry) in the School of Chemistry, Trinity College Dublin. Following postdoctoral research in the University of Bern, Theo worked in industrial positions with Schering-Plough and Henkel (Loctite). Having completed his B.Sc. (Pharmacy) and M.Pharm with the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, he worked as a community pharmacist and with LEO Pharma. Theo took up the position of Asst. Prof. (Practice Educator) in Trinity in 2015 and then Asst. Prof. (Teacher Practitioner) in 2017 and continues to practise as a community pharmacist. Theo’s previous research has been in organic synthetic chemistry and carbohydrate-recognition supramolecular chemistry. His current research is in the area of Pharmacy Practice (community pharmacy, medication safety and pharmacy pedagogical development).
