Bio

My current line of investigation is focused on understanding how cells interact with their surroundings and how these interactions affect their differentiation. In other to do this, I am pursuing a research project which aims to seek how cells communicate with their environment from two points of view: mechanical, studying the forces exerted by the cells using Traction Force Microscopy, and biological, studying cell mechanobiology and cell metabolism. All my work is determined to address the link between cell mechanical and metabolic activities in order to enhance studies in multiple fields e.g. tissue regeneration or drug testing.
