I am a Doctoral student in Organic Chemistry with a focus on Natural Products/ Medicinal Chemistry, at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. I hold a B.Sc degree in Chemistry (2013) and an M.Sc in Pharmaceutical Chemistry (2017). My area of research interests are: • Chemical composition and characterisation of essential oils of Nigerian medicinal plants. • Isolation, characterisation, and structural elucidation of bio-active compounds from medicinal plants. • Biological activities of essential oils and bioactive compounds. • I had the privilege of being a participant in the Ife Summer Institute hosted by the Ife Institute of Advanced Studies at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria, 2024. • I am an associate Member of the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC); an Associate Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), UK; a Member of Society of Essential Oil Distillers and Association (SEODA), Nigeria, and a Member of Organisation for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD) With a passion for unravelling the complexities of organic molecules, I am dedicated to exploring the potential of natural products in drug discovery and development for combating various diseases.
