Through my over 20 years of experience as a toxicologist (Dipl. ABT) and an analytical chemist working in the Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory at Purdue University, I am well prepared to continue contributing to the advancement of new diagnostic veterinary toxicology tests to serve clients and our stakeholders at large. During my time serving as the Section Head of the toxicology laboratory, I have consulted on toxicology cases in a wide variety of species from initial case presentation to toxicology laboratory testing and subsequently results interpretation and the final diagnosis. My role also includes hands-on laboratory work, where I develop and implement novel diagnostic assays to expand testing capacity for clients, stakeholders, and government agencies. I have extensive experience in the development and validation of analytical methods for a wide range of toxins and toxicants across diverse matrices, including feed, environmental samples, tissues, and biological specimens. My technical expertise includes the use of HPLC with UV/Vis and mass spectrometric detection, GC/MS, ICP/MS, ELISA, and MALDI-TOF/MS.
