Jeeva A. is a final-year B.Tech Industrial Biotechnology student at the Government College of Technology (GCT), Coimbatore, with a strong passion for bioinformatics, computational biology, and molecular modeling. His research interests include protein structure modeling, ligand-target interaction studies, multi-omics analysis, and AI applications in bioinformatics. Jeeva has experience in homology modeling, threading, and deep learning-based protein structure prediction using tools like Modeller, I-TASSER, and AlphaFold, followed by validation through molecular dynamics simulations with GROMACS. He has applied machine learning algorithms (SVM, Random Forest, XGBoost) for gene expression-based gastric cancer prediction and has developed bioinformatics tools such as an ORF site finder using Python. Jeeva is actively engaged in research, currently working on the modeling and ligand-target interaction of the M-protein of Chandipura Virus (CHPV). He has presented and published research in bioinformatics and drug discovery, and he aims to bridge computational and experimental biology for therapeutic advancements. In addition to bioinformatics, Jeeva has expertise in computer-aided drug design (CADD) and is interested in pharmaceutical research, particularly in GMP/ICH-regulated environments. He has interned at ICAR - Sugarcane Breeding Institute and Yaazh Xenomics - TICEL Biopark, gaining hands-on experience in genomics and computational biology. Beyond research, Jeeva has proficiency in programming (Python, C/C++, Perl), web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), and AI-driven bioinformatics. His work is driven by a passion for innovation in biotechnology and its applications in drug discovery, disease prediction, and synthetic biology.
