University of Alberta 2013- current Assistant Prof, Pharmacology Qatar University 2014-2015 I did my B.Sc. degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences at Alexandria University, Egypt. In 2002, I was invited to work as an instructor in the Department of Pharmacology, Alexandria University where I completed my M.Sc. studies. In the fall of 2006 I joined the Department of Pharmacology, University of Alberta as a PhD graduate student under the supervision of Dr. Richard Schulz. After my PhD, I joined Dr. Handzel’s lab in 2013 as a Post-doctoral Fellow where I pursue my current research in cancer biology with special emphasis on DNA damage repair signaling/mechanisms. I am also a registered clinical pharmacist with Additional Prescribing Authorization (Alberta College of Pharmacists). I joined CPH-QU the Fall of 2014 as an Assistant Professor of Pharmacology. I had to decline this position in January 2015 for family reasons. Now I am still working with Dr. Hendzel, University of Alberta.
