Bio

I am a PhD biomedical researcher and qualified veterinarian integrating clinical insight with molecular infection biology and biomedical science. As a UK Horserace Betting Levy Board (HBLB) scholar, my PhD research investigates how intracellular pathogens manipulate host lysosomal pathways to promote survival, with a particular focus on lysosomal ion channel dysfunction during infection. By combining advanced electrophysiology, cellular microbiology, and translational veterinary expertise, my work generates mechanistic insights into host-pathogen interactions with relevance to the investigation of potential therapeutic targets as an antimicrobial strategy development and zoonotic disease control. I am committed to advancing high-impact biomedical research with the UK’s One Health and Life Sciences strategies, driving innovation in infectious disease prevention, immunity, and therapeutic development.
