Sama Ali earned her Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from Wayne State University Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in May 2026. She previously earned a Bachelor of Health Sciences from Oakland University in December 2020. Sama has developed experience across several healthcare and scientific settings. She previously worked as a Biology Tutor at Macomb Community College, assisting students in strengthening their understanding of foundational biological sciences. She also worked as a Laboratory Technician at Encore Diagnostic Laboratory, where she gained hands-on experience with diagnostic laboratory procedures and testing. In addition, she worked as a Pharmacy Technician at Walmart Pharmacy, where she supported pharmacists in medication preparation, dispensing, and patient interactions within a community pharmacy environment. Currently, Sama is a Pharmacy Intern at Henry Ford Pharmacy Advantage Specialty Pharmacy and CVS Health, where she continues to strengthen her clinical knowledge and patient care skills through direct patient interaction and pharmacy operations. Through these roles, she has also participated in community health initiatives and patient-focused services that promote medication safety, preventive care, and health education. In addition to her clinical training, Sama has been involved in research activities and has contributed to research examining communication between pharmacists and patients as well as collaboration among healthcare professionals. She has also taken part in leadership and student engagement initiatives that support professional development and involvement within the pharmacy community.
