Bio

Medical doctor (BAMS) with dual master’s degrees (MSc in Pharmaceutical Medicine and MS in Clinical Research Administration, MI) and 18 years of experience supporting biotechnology and life sciences portfolios through pharmacovigilance and post-marketing safety to help address patients’ unmet medical needs. Expertise includes PASS/PMS study oversight and aggregate safety reporting for drugs and complex biologics, including recombinant proteins for bleeding disorders (Hemophilia A/B; von Willebrand disease; cTTP) ensuring benefit–risk remains favourable and real-world safety evidence supports appropriate patient access. Proven leader in cross-functional and vendor oversight across Medical, Safety and Regulatory Compliance, with strengths in medical writing, safety review and benefit–risk evaluation for biologics, and end-to-end regulatory submissions. Strong track record in inspection readiness, SOP/GxP compliance, FDA/EMA post-marketing safety expectations, and compliance oversight. Experienced people leader at Takeda and Program Director, Takeda–Northeastern University postdoctoral fellowship (MPD). Registered medical practitioner (Medical Practitioners Act, 1961). Core Skills • Patient-focused post-approval safety study strategies (drugs and complex biologics): designing protocols and real-world evidence plans that generate actionable safety insights to support appropriate access and address unmet medical need, while meeting health authority commitments • Post-marketing commitments (PASS/PMS/PMC/PMR): leadership, oversight, SOP/GxP compliance management, and inspection readiness to deliver on commitments that protect patients and strengthen benefit–risk • Safety and evidence review (patient impact): interim/final study reports, CSR, PBRER, DSUR, PADER, ACO—synthesizing safety data to inform benefit–risk evaluation and risk minimization for real-world patient use • Regulatory responses (patient risk mitigation): reviewing health authority questions and preparing MAH responses that clearly address patient safety concerns and support timely regulatory alignment • Capability building for patient safety: people leadership, program management, PV training, and mentoring to strengthen a culture of quality, compliance, and patient-centric decision-making
