Dr. Ziad Nasr is a clinical assistant professor and the coordinator of the structured practical experiences in pharmacy (SPEP) program in the department of clinical pharmacy and practice at the College of Pharmacy at Qatar University. He graduated with a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from the Lebanese American University in Lebanon. He is a Board-Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist and an Infectious Diseases Pharmacist from the Board of Pharmacy Specialties in the United States. His core undergraduate teaching includes pharmacotherapy and integrated case-based learning courses. In addition, he is a cross-appointed clinical pharmacy specialist in infectious diseases at Hamad General Hospital where he precepts PharmD students. At the college level, Dr Nasr is the chair of the Professional Pharmacy Skills committee and the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) lead. To date, he has supervised several undergraduate research projects, published numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals, and obtained funded research grants. Dr Nasr is an active member of various international organizations such as the ACCP, ASHP and SIDP. Also, he serves on the editorial and advisory boards of reputable journals.
