It is a transparent, colorless, non-flammable, chemically inert and thermally stable liquid used as a low-ozone-depletion alternative to perfluorocarbons and perfluoropolyethers, serving as a cooling fluid in semiconductor and electronics manufacturing, supercomputers, high-voltage transformers, chemical processing and pharmaceutical manufacturing. Samples are available, and it is distributed to North America, Western Europe and Asia.
