4-Methoxyphenol (MEHQ)

4-Methoxyphenol (MEHQ) (CAS 150-76-5, C7H8O2, MW 124.14), also known as p-hydroxyanisole or hydroquinone monomethyl ether, is manufactured directly by Jinan Finer Chemical Co., Ltd. at chemical grade with an assay of 99.5% or higher, supplied as white crystal flakes with a melting point of 54.0-56.5°C and an annual capacity of 500 metric tons. It is used as a polymerization inhibitor for monomers such as acrylonitrile and acrylates, as a pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and dye intermediate, and in the synthesis of the antioxidant BHA, and is distributed across North America, Europe, Australasia, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
